Pros

Great people to work with Work is challenging and stimulating Competitive salary if you haven't been a lifer at the company

Cons

- Benefits have tumbled in quality since merger (Ex: went from high ranked 401k provider to the lowest ranked 401k provider in the country) - Business Units and Corporate HQs no longer in New England and focus no longer in New England - Company slowly turning into UTC values (not Raytheon). - Employee focus and caring is gone in place of focus on Wall Street and Executive Bonuses - They talk a good game with diversity and inclusion, but upper management LOVES their segregated parking - Quiet blocking of internet sites (not focused on security, but rather non-work related). - Latest internet blocking (coming soon): Employees will no longer be permitted to access personal email sites from company equipment. This will be a detriment to those employees working on programs. Another way to cut us off from our families while in the office.

Pros

Pay. It's not that bad.

Cons

No advancement. Raises don't keep pace with inflation. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. Poor work conditions. New people often wait months (Some over a year!) to get a desk. Extremely poor engineering practices, with most software being developed with no architecture, just hacked together. No attempt to bring new people up to speed, with "sink or swim" being the rule.
