Interesting Company, Hard to Grow

Pros

Lots of job security, rarely work more than 40-50 hours, 9/80 Fridays, and really friendly people for the most part. Alright 401k match.

Cons

Terrible performance development and review system - even after a recent revamp of the programs. Hard to move up due to strict HR rules. Younger talent is not given the opportunity to take on higher level tasks. Low salaries for the locations of major sites (except Tucson). Much harder to feel valued if you are not an engineer.

Pros

Great work, the technology we build is fantastic. Building things that help bring our military home safely is great. Great benefits, good pay, pretty flexible with home life.

Cons

The management doesn't seem to work on the personnel much. They know the product needs to get built, but they don't know you are capable, they just assign you to it. If you need support or training, it's basically on you to do it. Hopefully that culture is changing, but it's not there yet.

Salary and 9/80 work schedule. Interesting projects to work on. Profit sharing program and 401k. Good comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision).

Cons

High stress until you burn out. Rarely enjoyed a 9/80 work schedule due to work load. Beware of ramping up hiring prior to a contract award then massive layoffs if not awarded
