      Great Company No Advancement Opportunities in My Field

      Pros

      Great group of employees that are always willing to help each other out! Would stay here forever if compensation was more fair.

      Cons

      No advancement opportunities, small to no yearly raises. Management has their favorites and tailors the raises to help their select few favorites. Prior experience will get you in the door but means NOTHING after that.

      Pros

      My many colleagues were a genuine pleasure to work with, and some have become personal friends. The old Hughes Aircraft hands, especially, were exceptionally talented, even brilliant. So many of those, unfortunately, have retired. If your strength is optimizing the efficiency of manufacturing lines and reducing their costs, this may be a match for you. Raytheon is fairly good at this.

      Cons

      Raytheon epitomizes the risk-averse company imbued to its soul with a "Culture of Can't". Their primary corporate talent is minimizing costs of higher volume production lines. Though they spout the corporate-speak of innovation, they abhor innovation and anything else that costs money. They are in the business of depositing checks, not writing them.

      Toxic Department & Center Managers, HR, & Work environment

      Opportunity to work alongside with talented Engineers

      Cons

      You will work for toxic Department managers who can't design or don't have any experience producing engineering results that directly support product line program managers. You will be constantly demeaned by these dept. managers while HR condones. High employee turnover rate is no concern to upper management.
