Pros

Raytheon utilizes the latest and greatest, as well as tried and proven technologies in their products, so it is a great place to gain exposure to a wide variety of technologies and technological challenges. The personnel working at Raytheon are highly skilled, providing the ability to gain great experience via working with highly skilled team members.

Cons

Raytheon employs a talented workforce and does have high expectations. Therefore, if you are not willing to put forth the effort and stay up to date with your technical area of expertise, this probably is not the place for you.

Extremely Poor Project Management

Some very smart engineers in the project; Flexible working hours;

Cons

Extremely poor project management; the management is neither professional, reaching out, nor knowledgeable; the incompetence of the management creates super low morale and brain drain that obviously indicate a loss of faith inside the project. (my comments are only valid for a specific project (JPSS/CGS), the company may have very good and successful management teams for other projects)

Liberal Work From Home Policy Good Benefit Package Pension (managed to get in early before it shutdown) Good 401K match Yearly raises and bonuses

Cons

Red Tape & Bureaucracy Slow growth/promotions - especially for minorities (received >5 "exceeds requirements" in the past consecutive years which equals a better raise but in most other companies that would equate to a promotion)
