Pros

Staff and coworkers were extremely friendly. New engineers are given time to learn their new roles and grow into them. There are many opportunities for personal and professional advancement, both within Raytheon and outside. Excellent pay and benefits. Work-life balance stressed and practiced here.

Cons

It can be easy to become comfortable, to begin to approach work as a set of rote and repetitive tasks, and stagnate technically.

Pros

Benefits are very good; especially vacation. Interesting work. Internal job finder enables you to move around. Large contracts promote job security.

Cons

I assume that the way leadership treats their employees everywhere is pretty standard. Sometimes you come across a manager who obviously looks after his own interests ahead of yours.

Pros

Interesting work. Good people for the most part. Professional and respectful.

Cons

Cliques still remain. Depends on plant location and nature of work. If you fail to break into the clique, then you are in trouble. Top down communication breaks down unless the news is rosy. Upper mgt lost sight of the bread and butter of the business. Growth and plans are fine, but failure affects all in the trenches.
