Pros

Great benefits. Stable work environement. Recognition and advancement.

Cons

You have to be extremely self-driven to get ahead but don't ever step on any toes. Over the last 5 years legacy systems that were the bread and butter of success have been replaced by new software driven control systems that have put handcuffs on how processes are done. Bean counters rule the programs and R&D is barely negligable. We lose valuable projects to outside vendors because we have initiated stringent new policies on ourselves that make us more expensive than outside work. There are too many chiefs and not enough indians anymore.

Pros

The benefits are good and the pay is comparable to other companies. If you manage to get on the right programs the work is challenging and rewarding.

Cons

There are not a lot of opportunities for advancement. In some of the programs the work can get very tedious and repetitive.
