Pros

Interesting work that contributes to the country. Good at trying in the purpose of current tasking to end goals. Answering the question of 'Why does this matter' or 'Why does my job matter'. Great advancement oportunities and potential. If you are a hard worker and quick at learning new stuff - you can do well. Less politics than many other places. Good at conducting and supporting training oportunities. Offer dozens of technical classes to expand your skill set. Feed back on performance. Great people to work with.

Cons

Large company with bueracracy, though less than many others. Lots of work - it will take over your life if you let it.

Pros

Challenging work, often on the cutting edge of technology. Great teamwork, highly motivated workforce. Freedom to think creatively. Many recent improvements to remove barriers to efficiency.

Cons

Projects are sometimes setup with unreasonable schedules which results in long hours to meet deadlines. Sometimes encouter basic issues, common to large companies, such as bureaucracy and resistance to change.

Pros

Great growth expected in the next few years. Fresher management is great for promoting new ideas, but redevelopment and reorganization of the engineers caused a lot of confusion on new job responsibilities. Benefits are great, salary is high especially for the area, and above all you contribute to the success of our products and safety to our troops.

Cons

Sometimes it is too big to get the right answers. As a new hire, this is especially frustrating, with no "product directory" to know who to call when you need an answer about a particular product line. Depending on your manager, sometimes the desire to move around is looked down upon. My manager strongly encouraged rotating in both design and manufacturing before settling into one area, but another manager was harsh when a coworker wanted to move areas after 18 months.
