Pros

The company has lots of different locations and business within the group

Cons

You can get lost in the numbers and it relies to heavily on process vs technology at this point. It is starting to swing back

Pros

Compartmentalized security clearance makes you more marketable in defense industry. If you are software engineer, programmer, computer science major, mathematician, physicist, you'll be well sought after at this site.

Cons

No growth path for technical oriented people. Slow promotion. A big problem is that you see fairly common people with 15-20 years of experience doing good work continue to be E3 where in other defense companies they would be E4 already. Serious communication problem at the senior management level. Senior management lacks trust in their senior technical folks. Decisions are managed via a strict chain of command hierarchy. Among management level, it seems status is everything (ie. who has the biggest office).

Pros

You basically get to choose your own hours. Unless there is a meeting in the morning you are not required to show up at a certain time as long as you get your eight hours in for the day and your work done. This place is very flexible when it comes to work and life balance. People are also generally very easy going and easy to get along with.

Cons

As a software engineer it is not very challenging. There is also a lot of paperwork when it comes to software development. The software development is also not at all agile, there is no "test first" mentality. It is just "fix first" test later mentality.
