Pros

Raytheon has the most professional people in the industry that I have had the opportunity to work with. People (employees) are treated with respect and customers are dealt with ethically and as partners. Mission success is really what we strive for.

Cons

It's still part of a huge corporation, there is some level of bureaucracy. On occassion it takes a long time to get some very simple things done.

Pros

THere are so many oppurtunties to excel you just need to apply yourself and seek further education. They have given me money to relocate, travel and have paid for my experiance in the military. I was shocked that they considered me for the job and have given my all to work hard and move up in the company. If i ever get tired of this job I can simply apply for another job and they will move me. Communication is great in my matrix and they have gone above and beyond for me and my familiy. I would ecomend them to any of my fco-workers

Cons

The managment and change process is slow but effective

Pros

Raytheon company consists of innovative technology, very competent engineers, a reasonable flexible work schedule, and a good work/life balance. The benefits on the whole seem to be fairly comparable to others in the defense contractor industry in which they compete but I believe they could be better. Several of my former Raytheon colleagues have departed for better pay at other large defense contractors. I believe overall compensation could be improved in my opinion and would result in better employee retention. Aside from the slightly below average compensation, in my opinion, Raytheon still remains a good place to work and I would still recommend it as a good company for other engineers to work at.

Cons

Occasionally, feel like you get lost in the crowd because it is such a large company. No other complaints that come to mind.
