Pros

There will always be war. Therefore you will always have a job.

Cons

As the titles states, the health benefits here are absolute trash. They're are ok if you are single w/o kids, but if you have a family RUN away. The onboarding experience has been abysmal. HR has messed up my pay check multiple times, they even forgot to get our payroll info at new hire orientation so I missed my first direct deposit. The merger really ruined what seemed to be a good place to work at one point.

Pros

Good employee scholar program, allowing you to get a relevant degree paid for by RTX.

Cons

This company feels like it’s 1982. For example: my boss told me I wasn’t a team player because I wouldn’t attend a happy hour scheduled over Rosh Hashanah and major meetings were repeatedly scheduled over major Jewish holidays. This company claims to care about DE&I but not if you’re Jewish, clearly. Good Friday is a company holiday but not MLK Jr day? Actually being able to get things done is hampered by completely dysfunctional systems. For example, IT support has seemingly been outsourced to DXC, which often results in losing entire work days due to their inability to fix even simple matters. HR is an utter disaster. I recently left the company, properly putting my resignation into Workday (and informing my boss) 2.5 weeks in advance of my last day. HR didn’t send me certain documents required for my exit until after my last day had passed and they require me to print them out, physically sign, and scan back to send. What’s next, are they going to make me fax something? Benefits - beyond the employee education reimbursement - are bottom of the barrel quality but really expensive. The physical workspaces are outdated, often dirty with broken equipment. We literally don’t have chairs.

Pros

Benefits if your willing to stay there long enough. The Pro was identifying this toxic company for what it was, and leaving quickly.

Cons

Could just be my leader, but seemed as if a number of people were quite miserable. The hours are long (expect 70+ a week). Processes and tools are dated, and adds to the long hours. Many egos in this company, especially at the senior leader level. Leaders will dress down their staff in public, very toxic atmosphere.
