Pros

- 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off - PTO when combined with 9/80 schedule can lead to long time-off periods for just a minor hit to the PTO balance. - Holiday shut-down with 1.5 weeks off around Christmas - Experience with large scope and budgets - There are plenty of ways to blend in and produce low output - As you can see, most of the "pros" have to do with not working

Cons

- Individual contributor attrition is not back-filled, causing more work/strain on remaining employees. The company uses this gutless strategy rather than thoughtful, targeted headcount reduction to meet numbers. - Culture of blame and finger-pointing that originates from top levels of leadership - Poor, expensive healthcare benefits - While some of the old guard employees have long-term incentives like pension plans, newer employees hired within the last ~10 years do not. - Layoffs and RIF through attrition occur in successful business units to offset poor performance in unrelated, unsuccessful business units - The reward for high performing employees is simply more work, maybe +2% annual bonus payout, and +1-2% pay increase. This incentives low performance and a lack of accountability due to such a small delta between high and low performers.

Pros

- Decent pay - Tuition assistance

Cons

- New hires are randomly assigned a program without any consideration about your previous work experience or interests. - One of the least social workplace I have ever seen. - First level management is not interested in your professional development or providing suitable job assignments, middle management and top-level management are invisible. - Mediocre benefits other than tuition reimbursement. - Almost no advancement opportunities.

Pros

good benefits as of now same with PTO and mod time

Cons

Benefits will be change to a third party 2022 that company has been sold twice also there is word that Raytheon going to align vacation across the board and everyone will only get three weeks even if they currently get more they will be cut to three weeks also word has it that mod time will be going away these things are supposed to started happing in 2022 if you look at someone who is being hire on the other side of Raytheon you will see what they are offered benefit wise for vacation three weeks and they cannot do mod time. So, from what Raytheon employees are saying that ever one will be the same. except for upper management and top Executives go figure. So do not be surprised when they take some of your Vacation away. And you get less benefits but pay more for it American agree at its best.
