Pros

Stimulating work, relaxed atmosphere (business casual), great co-workers. Getting time-off when needed for emergencies, or just last minute plans is pretty easy, because of the size of the company. Many opportunities for advancement. Yearly reviews and raises are pretty consistent. You definitely know what the career path is; the company goes to great lengths to make sure that all employees know what's expected of them. For the most part, Raytheon, as a company abides by it's core values and stated objectives. The work pace is reasonable for someone who loves what they do and is motivated. If you don't like what you do, I would imagine that it could be a pretty tough place to work.

Cons

Very large company, so sometimes you can feel like a very small and insignificant cog in a very large machine.

Pros

Good salary, standard benefits, and if you're a new grad you'll find a strong network of other new grads there so there are no shortage of friends to be made

Cons

You'll need to suck up to management in order to have any chance of being promoted or getting a good raise. Working hard and doing a good job is not enough. It's much more effective to do an OK job or a half ass job and constantly make yourself aware to the big players in the company like the program managers and project leads. Annual performance reviews ask for feedback from the people you work with so feedback from these people is far more valuable than the ones from your peers. This determines your raise and chances of promotion more than anything else. Even if you do manage to get a good raise, don't expect a huge one. It tops out at 3% if you're lucky.
