Pros

Cool jobs that can be very fun at times.

Cons

Usually get pigeon-holed, and then the job can start getting repetitive and boring. Intentionally understaffed which tends to burn out employees by having a heavy workload. PTO rather than separate vacation and sick time.

Pros

It's a large company with good benefits, good training and development opportunities, and a global presence. This was a great place to get my feet wet as a recent engineering graduate. The 9/80 schedule is great because then you can take every other Friday off to run errands or take a long-weekend getaway.

Cons

The matrix organization structure makes it difficult to understand who exactly you work for. As a defense contractor that relies on government spending, Raytheon also deals with a lot of volatility in its workforce.
