      Powerpoint Heaven

      Pros

      The half dozen or so technically competent long time engineers who actually hold the corporate knowledge. Learn as much as you can from them before you get bored out of your skull.

      Cons

      Powerpoint presentations by the technically incompetent management seem to rule the place. No vision, no goals. Way behind current technology, no thought put into technology investment which explains why NCS went out of business. While the pay may be competitive, this place is no good for your career. The only product they have now a grip on is advanced EHF communications, but others are catching up quickly. All their other product areas have failed into oblivion due to reasons mentioned.

      Pros

      - Good pay - good benefits - pension plan - 401k-

      Cons

      This place is a cesspool - In IADC its a factory where the number of derelicts numbers in the hundreds. The management style is who can yell the loudest . the big bully mentality still exists - Try not to use the restrooms , they are filthy and I have seen better in a gas station. - They say they have a 9/80 schedule, but in Andover they have cancelled it - No word when it will be back

      Pros

      The people are great - many have spent their entire career at Hughes Aircraft / Raytheon so the knowledge base is fantastic. Nice setting for the location - close to stores and restaurants.

      Cons

      Contracts were not coming through as expected - so layoffs were happening up to 4 times a year over the last two years. Atmosphere very tense. Unfortunately, job opportunities are scarce - and given the current atmosphere, it's not very fun to work there any more.
