Pros

You learn a lot in a short period of time. Expectations are high so you challenge yourself to go outside of your comfort zone and accomplish things you'd never imagine.

Cons

Work-life balance can be difficult. You work really hard and expectations get higher - it's easy to burn out quickly.

Pros

Global perspective on the CPG business. The world is getting smaller. It's all based in the P&L and ROI. Career advancement can come quick (just understand why - see cons) Great brands Strategic vision to win in the growing and consolidating health care area, Lysol and Airwick growth days are gone, it's all about Mucinex and Mega Red. Strong gross margins. Excellent bonus plan at the Team Leader position and higher. RB is in a growth mode and winning in the marketplace.

Cons

Little to no family life / work balance. It's expected that you will work hard and often frowned upon if you don't play even harder. You're not part of the team if you can't do both! Turn over is very high A real glass ceiling exists for Americans looking to be in senior leadership positions. Little to no training. Poor longer term incentive/compensation plans for the front line sales / National Account Managers - a competitive miss. Very small stock options grants paid out once every 3 years. Majority of leaders in the US business are international and are often vocal regarding their lack of respect for the american sales team. Supply chain is a major problem, poor forecasting by supply team along with overseas production facilities. RB typically ranks near the bottom of most retailer supply scorecards. This creates major issues for the front line sales teams at the buyer desk and at the end of the year when bonuses are calculated. This issue has only gotten worse over the past 18-24 months. 3 rd party suppliers and vendors are usually paid very late creating more headaches all. It's all about cash flow.
