Pros

Multicultural exposure, Well respected Brands, Career Growth Opportunities, Great Bonuses (Normally 20% - 40% for sales managers), solid strategic sales plans

Cons

Horrible work/life balance, Great bonuses come at a price - massive work load, Promotions are based on performance but workaholics generally have the upper hand, summer hours offered but many can't take due to work load and fear of being labeled a slacker, World HQ in Britain has a very tight control on US business; especially dealing with product innovation and launch decisions, Hiring managers working in US favor others from their home country - special projects & career opportunities, too lean on manpower, Reckitt flies by the seat of it's pants; many new items are presented to customers prematurely and then canceled; making reps look like fools, constant (over)-confrontation and brow beating is encouraged but gets old

Pros

Some decent people in the company. My 2 stars is for them.

Cons

Absolutely no progression opportunities unless your 'face fits', i.e. unless you are outspoken and shout loudly about your achievements. Even better if you take credit for those of others. Certain people get all the promotions and credit, with others (who likely do the bulk of the work) falling into the periphery, getting little to no acknowledgement and having to sing for their supper. Having worked for Reckitt for several years, this has always been the case. If you get a job here, you can expect to tread water in the same role for years unless management take a liking to you. Some managers are full of talk, making false promises to keep junior members of the team sweet and rarely following through with them. The company is dreadfully disorganised. Training is sporadic and irrelevant. I have literally never had training that is relevant to my role, yet am expected to read mind numbing SOPs on topics that are not associated with it whatsoever. Meetings are all too frequent and, more often than not, entirely unnecessary. The worst thing about this company is, no one really cares. No one cares when you bring an issue to their attention, they'll see you as an inconvenience. You are merely a number, and when it comes to cutting back on headcount, you'll be a candidate for the guillotine, regardless of your past achievements or your history with the company. There is no soul, no compassion whatsoever. Perhaps it is naïve to expect this of a multinational cooperation, but even taglines like 'Do the right thing, always' are merely aimed at making money. Charity events and sponsorships are for the purpose of improving brand image (particularly after a law suit), not because they genuinely care. They don't. Keep this in mind and don't expect anyone to have your back if an issue arises, and you'll be fine.

Pros

-money was decent although many people in that company are grossly over-paid and others are underpaid & undervalued so depends what 'rank' you are. - the office was nice - if you're their type of person you may do well. But it takes a certain personality to thrive here.

Cons

- workloads are unrealistic - strong hierarchy enforced, "them vs us" culture - blame game culture - genuine or nice people don't stay in this company for very long, from what I've witnessed. only certain type of people make it far in this place. You have to be two-faced or a sycophant to stay. Most people take themselves very seriously and the atmosphere is cold and uneasy as a result. - uses the term "mental health awareness" as a way to virtue signal but the company does not support staff MH in any practical way. - nepotism is huge problem here. The managers are all friends with each other outside of work & only those inside their group seem to get promoted. From what I witnessed.
