Pros

Low workload. Many courses available. Possibility of certifications. Possibility of working in different countries.

Cons

Low wage, low cost policy, have deep impacts on people working on foreign countries. Low accountability strategy. Decisions many times conflict global strategy; Associates are forced in the company for 3 years, or face paying an exit fee. Seniors are motivated on stability, not high-performance. Do not forget the low-cost aspect of hiring. Management are the bottom-feeders or the ultimatum (do this, or leave) elements of the organization. No management skills whatsoever. Seem to be in a perpetual state of autism or denial. Projects are for administrative tasks, mostly.

Pros

Very good work-life balance Lots of learning resources available along with opportunities to value yourself through personal training or certifications.

Cons

Bad expectations management, when you enter the company lots of promises are made, very few are realized, from project opportunities, to personal growth within the organization - for example, internal mobility is a selling point when they want to hire you, but in fact it is very complicated to move within SAP.

Pros

Great place to work to be on front end of fast changing technology for enterprise market. Good pay and benefits in the UK and Germany.

Cons

Culture of backstabbing and poor leadership. In terms of career development - you are on your own to navigate w little in the way of coaching. Lots of management turn over so you can have multiple managers in a short space of time all w differing or conflicting agendas. Flat organisation leaves little opportunity for upward mobility or longevity which is what management want. Organic innovation is painfully bureaucratic - HANA was taken outside as a skunksworks project & rest of recent product innovation bought in through acquisition w middling results on integration. You have a job for life in Germany if you can stand the boredom of the local region and sterility of head office complex. Elsewhere people are an expendable commodity w a 80's like Gordon Gecko attitude of greed is good.
