Pros

- Mostly "easy" life - good if you want to retire and not looking to have a fast growing career

Cons

- "Culture" & "D&I" - only talk, no walk E.g. 1. mandatory & seemingly harsh return to office - totally unnecessary at this point. They want to "force" a pre-covid culture which is not there anymore. 2. Poor pay. Wide pay gaps. They treat employees in developing economies like replaceable resources and hence pay poorly as compared to not only the companies they claim to be their competitors but also their partners (who are supposedly much below them in status or whatever) 3. Little room to grow. Too few opportunities to get ahead. Old and white people taking up all the roles. Mostly German white men (middle age - old) at the upper levels of most, of not all reporting lines. 4. Women, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ and other minorities at a loss because of the poor policies like mandatory work from office, men making all the decisions, etc. 7. Unfair stock options. Again a flat %age of the base salary, irrespective of the location. This leaves poorly paid people from cheaper countries far far disadvantaged and pooper than their western white counterparts at the end 5. Unfair comp across the regions. Like I said - they treat employees in developing countries like India, Phillipines, Romania, etc. poorly, in all aspects, be it fair pay and compensation benefits, growth opportunities, quality of work, hikes, etc. 6. Poor handling of COVID. * Gave a flat single digit (ashamed to say the number) % hike to everyone, again the worst impacted people were who are already paid less - early talents, poorly paid employees in so-called cheaper/ developing locations - all non-white minorities, etc. 7. Unfair stock options for the already poorly paid employees. Flat %age of base salary irrespective of the region means employees from "cheaper" countries are again most disadvantaged and far far poorly compensated (in terms of number of shares being alloted as per this inequitable policy) as compared to the western white counterparts.
