Pros

This used to be a great company.

Cons

There are no effective systems in place to address bullying, harassment or discrimination. A number of people I know directly have been terminated without reason over whistleblowing concerns or as retaliation for raising legitimate concerns. Additionally, another who have been targeted have been moved to the direct reporting line of a manager they had an active HR complaint against. Many colleagues who have been with the company for years as high performers are now leaving due to this and other management issues.

SAP and our HR team take allegations and feedback like you’ve documented here very seriously. We have a number of resources and channels available to employees to have a confidential discussion when experiencing issues. We’d really encourage you to avail of our resources to help address these issues and try to find a resolution. Details about these resources can be found on our corporate portal, /go/employee-experience. We do not take any forms of bullying, harassment, or discrimination lightly and SAP does have systems to address these topics. If you have reason to raise a complaint, we’d encourage you to use SAP’s internal channels, where the issue(s) you have raised will be reviewed and addressed thoroughly.

Pros

Nice place to learn what you should never do if you have a chance to run a company. There are tons of constantly evolving initiatives to follow the hype curves and few very experienced and skillful people mostly in Germany from whom you can learn a lot!

Cons

Half the time is lost in reorganization, strategy and turning away paying customers and chasing unicorns that do not exists. This is the same across our various units in different regions - Walldorf, Bangalore, US and Canadian offices. Unfortunately, there is so much marketing hype, its now overwhelming for engineering! There is clearly a lack of direction and I am afraid we are running of the rails. We lost skillful experts through various cost cutting measures for bad executive decisions in different waves. Unless there is some serious introspection and course correction...I don’t see our company continuing to be a force in the enterprise business space beyond 2025!

We're sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience. With so many offices around the world, sometimes people have different experiences of the same company in various locations. But thank you for taking the time to leave a review; we'll forward your feedback in the right direction.
