Pros

Good solid products with a great understanding of the marketplace needs. Employees care about the jobs they do and do the best they can. New (expected) president is supposed to be based out of corporate office (rather than commuting) which should bring a sense of stability and commitment. Number of employees employed 10yrs+.

Cons

Apparent lack of direction from executive management. Finger-pointing at upper levels. Employees don't seem to be excited to come to work each day. We've lost any entrepreneurial spirit. One of our principles is "agility" and it doesn't feel that we embrace it. Change doesn't equal agility. Sometimes it's just a different way of doing the same thing.

Sage has afforded me many growth and development opportunities

Pros

I've had the privilege of working with some pretty strong leaders over the years - not only within my own department but across the business; While I've proven myself at Sage, I've been afforded great opportunities to further grow and develop my career; Its tough these days to have a good work-life balance but management at Sage has allowed me the flexibility to maintain some balance - I'm a dedicated employee and feel that the loyalty I give to Sage is given back to me.

Cons

Sage has a very matrixed environment. It's sometimes challenging to work in such an environment as it's not for everyone. Sometimes the communication doesn't filter to all of the employees as it should, but I know Sage has taken steps to improve this and expect they'll continue to. Having employees all over US and Canada and often being remote from coworkers proves to be challenging so I hope Sage continues to focus on open and honest communication with employees whenever possible.

Good Company, Great People!

Pros

The people are great. Our teams are very collaborative. We work hard, and like to have fun too! The PTO is better than most. Tuition Reimbursement. The health care is above average allowing for many alternative forms such as accupuncture and chiropractic care. I don't know if all teams are equal but our team and our management is knowledgeable, flexible, and empowering. I know I've made it sound perfect, it's not, there's always room for improvement, and that's okay.

Cons

I think what I've noticed as one of the biggest and possibly only "con" are the mixed and conflicting messages from our executives. Collaborate, be fun, be hip... be quiet, conservative, selective & segregated. The second, is the revolving "spin" on the company image or story. Having said that, it doesn't really affect my day to day.
