Pros

Good benefits and overall salary package. Most solutions are best in class and customers want to work with us.

Cons

The company has changed markedly in recent years, in particular the last few months. Salesforce has long tried to emulate big vendors such as IBM, Oracle, MS, SAP, etc and unfortunately is achieving it. Yet it still tries to pretend it has a startup mentally. It keeps hiring managers whose only method of motivation is to treat people like cr4p. Nothing is ever good enough and you’re micromanaged on a daily basis. The recent layoffs have hit the business hard with a very somber and depressing mood now prevailing. Entire teams have been let go with no plan to replace them. Sales people simply don’t have the resources or support to do their jobs anymore. ‘Accountability’ is the word continually banded around but with only one measure across multiple role types. As a result everyone is scrapping around trying to do the same things. Everyone wants to create and own the same opportunities. It’s sad to see such a great organisation chase it’s own tail like this.

Pros

Salary and benefits - that’s it.

Cons

If you’re in the wrong team with a terrible manager (i.e Media in U.K), then it’s a horrible experience. The company is like a cult, it’s pretty scary. Micro-aggressive and selfish management, constant pointless box ticking exercises and internal presentations…and constant change, which literally leaves you feeling lost at all times. There is no support, no understanding, and if you are not your managers favourite pet, then you will be given the worst patch and be set up for failure. This company has literally lead me to have anxiety and depression, I can’t wait to leave soon.

Pros

-Benefits -70% of your commission is guaranteed -PTO (but need to make 50 calls extra for every day you're out)

Cons

Don't get me wrong, some of your teammates will be some of the best friends you could ever have, however, there will always be a couple of people who will listen in on everything the team talks about and then go off and share it with upper management so they can gain favor over you. That information will be used against you and eventually you will be ousted. Where they preach inclusiveness - it is anything BUT! These are some of the most clique-y people you will ever meet, and unless you're in the club you don't get to have all the advantages others do. If you're in the "clique" you get to log fake meetings, have the best territories with the best AE's, who will spoon food you 7 opportunities+ every month. Non-negotiable metrics are 1000 calls, 500 emails, 120 connects, 7 stage 2 opportunities (meaning there is a chance they could buy), $450,000 in S2 pipeline --> monthly. Oh and be prepared to come in the office three days a week Tues-Thurs and pay $34/day to park in the parking garage. Most of the metrics people log are bogus and fake calls, some people log fake meetings and then win MVP! Lmao the whole thing is nuts. Management is fine with it bc it makes them look good to artificially inflate the numbers. Everything that is done at this company is inflated and made to look better than it is for investors. Investors beware of this dumpster fire of a company. Even as you exit the company, all they will give you is a brief survey that will never be read by anyone. The facade of Salesforce is in their fancy office buildings and unlimited coffee, but at the center they are corrupt and rotten going all the way up the chain across multiple divisions. Our upper management forced us to come in to the office the day before a major Holiday and is routinely cruel for sport. By the way, if you don't hit 100% of your metrics month after month, your compass score will fall below 100% and then you're not allowed to move around in the company or be promoted. Only have seen 1 person from our immediate team be promoted over the course of near a year and half, yet they externally hire Account Execs often. Lastly, you could be placed on a pip and out the door within 3 days.
