Thank you for taking the time to review us! It is great to hear that you are enjoying working at Scopic Software. At Scopic, salaried employees are entitled to paid vacation, while hourly employees are entitled to unpaid vacation only. We are very flexible with approving vacation times for our employees. Yet, the number of days taken should be within reason and should not interfere with the projects. Also, we do our best to make sure that team members assigned to work on the same projects are within similar timezones, in order to avoid any bottlenecks during the work process. Once again, thank you for your review. We appreciate feedback from team members and are always working on improving our work environment.

Pros

Working from home was a big plus for me. I'm mother of small doughter and I didn't need to take some unpaid vacation when she was ill or ask somebody to give me free day. Payment was provided very carefully. Only one time I got it in 3 days of day I expected Company gives possibility to study. I had English lessons during almost a year (company paid me for it like I was working, it was a big surprize that person helps me with my English and I get salary for it) and also company paid me some hours to learn basic things of Python Performance reviews are done each year and if person is good - rates are increasing

Cons

Employee can't select project As QA I didn't know what I would test tomorrow. Sometimes I had letters that tomorrow (or even today) you are assigned to new project, please, start working. It was not very hard to work in this mode, but for me its better to have some plan Sometimes people can be iddle, and they are not paid for that period. I was in full-time during a year and when my big prohect stopped qa of current pase, I had only 5-10 hours a week Company expects that even if you are iddle a lot and some task comes - you should do it asap Also I didn't like that I couldn't work with schedule. First I thought I'll work from 9 to 6. But very often even if I started early I had stay online till night becouse some tasks had to be done right now

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We enjoyed working with you and truly appreciate your feedback and advice to the management team. Scopic always encourages its employees to report their idleness or the possibility of them going idle in any near future, for the management team to be able to immediately provide them with more tasks to work on. Additionally, Scopic is a very dynamic company, always having new projects for employees to work on. Thus, we categorize every project and task according to their level of urgency and require our employees to manage their time accordingly and deliver results within the set deadlines. Once again, thank you for your review. Every employee's feedback is of high value to us, as it helps us consistently improve our work environment.

Worst place I ever worked in

Pros

Good place to work to have a work-life balance and not spend time to commute to work. You can manage your time and work the hours that suit your specific personal environment and be productive at the same time.

Cons

1. Everything depends on the current "mood" of the CEO; 2. Management is young, inexperienced and at times extremely unprofessional; 3. No structure or logic in operations or decisions made; 4. No company strategy or roadmap; 5. No internal communications culture both within the company and with Clients; 6. No benefits - people are considered to be robots; 7. New ideas or speaking one's mind is not welcome in this company!
