No room for advancement and not a positive place for women.

Pros

Colleagues are friendly. Health insurance is decent.

Cons

No room for advancement in engineering. Pyramid model wherein managers have to like you (all the managers in the department) in order for you move up. So only so many spots per year (maybe 1-2 per 400 people). Annual "raises" only up to cost of inflation nothing more. Environment where women are encouraged to have Stepford wife mentalities and take a secondary role to men (engineering dept.).

Pros

Initially the culture was good, but in 3 years it went down hill very quickly.

Cons

Had 5 managers in less than two years. Clients do not renew because they question the value of the service. Alerts contain complete non-relevant crap that should have been fixed years ago, but wasn't. The ontology on the portal does not match the end of month reporting classifications. They refuse to follow a set standard like ISF, because they won't spend the money. They claim to provide great threat intelligence, but have not learned how to make it actionable beyond IP addresses and domains. They will not help clients get out of their own way. They refuse to adopt the cloud services being used by the rest of the world because of security concerns that have been implemented with little thought regarding balance and the need to compete with others in the same space. For example, they will not engage with clients on Slack because Slack will not agree to their policy, which is too draconian for anyone to accept. Even their own sister companies within Dell find them difficult to work with and have articulated that root canal is easier than dealing with a Secureworks contract.
