My experience with the Support Account Management (SAM) Team at ServiceNow in Hyderabad has been extremely disheartening, primarily due to the conduct of the director. The director has shown blatant biases within the team, consistently hiring only favorites and treating others with utter disrespect. This favoritism has severely impacted team morale and productivity. Over the past couple of years, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The director has publicly insulted me on numerous occasions, creating a hostile work environment. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also damaging to the team's cohesion and overall performance. Furthermore, the director's mismanagement of the budget is alarming. There have been instances where travel to customer sites appears to be based on personal whims rather than business needs. Despite these issues, there seems to be no accountability due to the director's position. Employee wellness is virtually non-existent in the SAM team. While ServiceNow as a whole may have a positive reputation, the SAM team in India operates with questionable tactics that undermine employee well-being and trust. The rapid promotion of this director, despite the evident lack of leadership skills, has only exacerbated the situation. It is incredibly frustrating to work under such incapable leadership, and it has made my tenure at ServiceNow a regrettable experience.

My 5 years in the Support Account Management (SAM) team were incredibly difficult due to a deeply toxic leadership culture. Leadership—especially at the director level—exhibited biased and unprofessional behavior, often discouraging open dialogue. Disrespectful treatment toward female employees was unfortunately witnessed, along with insensitive and inappropriate remarks. Communication style was authoritative and lacked trust, with emails often written in a tone that demoralized the team. Resource mismanagement was common, with unnecessary travel to client sites and questionable hiring practices—including friends and relatives—leading to further internal silencing. Despite raising concerns through HR feedback forms, there was no response or follow-up, creating a sense of helplessness. The work culture has deteriorated significantly, and unless there is a change in leadership, I fear the SAM team in India will continue to suffer.
