      Pros

      People are helpful. Good balance of women and men. Technology is interesting and useful to our customer base. Squint just a little bit and one can convince oneself that we are doing good for the world.

      Cons

      Managers care primarily about pleasing their managers which ends up causing excessive process overhead with the goal of delivering the minimum possible deliverable to minimize risk that they will be penalized by their managers.... aka CYA.

      Pros

      * Good work life balance (depending on what part of the business you're in) * Opportunity for growth - I've seen many people move up the ranks internally. For better or worse, much of the management of SN is internal.

      Cons

      * Some politics that are probably typical of a growing company * Aging technical infrastructure - no real opportunities to work with the latest and greatest tech

      They support their employees in so many ways, support for diversity, support with additional recharge days off, support when horrible things happened in my personal life, and my managers were able to adapt my work, time off, everything I needed

      Cons

      We're doing a lot, there's always something more to do.
