Pros

While working from the office, the company gave great benefits like free lunch, snacks, nice facilities.

Cons

When the pandemic struck, the company endlessly communicated that they did not anticipate layoffs, that our jobs were safe, and that our position was strong. However, multiple rounds of lay offs have thus taken place, all the while misleading employees about the safety of their employment in the middle of a pandemic. They let people go on the sales team that were previously told they would not be abruptly let go but would be given improvement plans. They claim to be a family concerned with the well being of their employees but when you constantly say one thing and practice another, it gets very tiring and stressful. It is not a fun work environment in the slightest.

Pros

Pay is extremely competitive Location is great, 15-25 minutes away from everything in LA Office culture is great. You will make lifelong friends here. You WILL develop your skills here. Work is rewarding, you have a big impact working here. Company values are great. This company is a extremely quickly growing startup. This can either be a pro or a con, if you're looking for a 9-5 just to pay bills this is not the place for you. If you're determined to grow in your career and have a strong impact on a company, look no further. There is no such thing as an unimportant role at ServiceTitan. At ServiceTitan you see the positive impact we have on our customers - it's very encouraging and makes you want to come into work everyday.

Cons

The only downside I can think of is the growing pains. This company went from 5 employees to 400 in a span of four years, however, the company is taking steps in the right direction to mitigate and eliminate the issues that arise from such fast paced growth. Work life balance can sometimes be thrown out of balance like any startup, you will be asked to work, and work hard - however, I never felt like any of the work I was doing wasn't meaningful.

Immensely Satisfying, But Some Concerns

Pros

For the most part, I absolutely love my job. I've never worked on a team so dedicated to doing the best possible job they can do, and that is truly inspiring. In addition to that, being able to truly affect the direction this company and product are going is extremely gratifying. Also, when customers are happy and share their stories with the company, that makes everything worth it. Providing a service that can improve and change lives is so fulfilling. The people in ServiceTitan are amazing individuals. I have made so many friends with coworkers which I didn't think was possible! The free lunch and snacks are always welcome, too!

Cons

We keep selling a product based on features that are coming down the pipeline when there are core functionalities that are quickly becoming dealbreakers for even the smallest customers. While I understand we can't be stagnant, we're constantly trying to fix things that should be super stable by now (reports, accounting, KPIs, etc.). My biggest concern currently is how removed leadership has become with the issues that are bothering their employees. Our CEO is too focused on sales (this is a very common sentiment) and the common consensus I've heard is we're selling too aggressively. This direction is affecting not only our employee happiness/work-life balance, but it's affecting the customer experience overall. It would be nice to have slightly more competitive compensation compared to the industry and 401(k) matching of some kind. Lastly, the office is pretty messy consistently. Furniture gets moved and not put back, ping pong balls litter the offices and floors, stains on the fridges, etc. It'd be nice if the office was actually taken care of (the office staff does do so much to pick up after others, but there's only so much they can do on their own). If we can improve the product in the areas that need focus, and leadership can reconnect with the rest of the company and realize the actual challenges we're facing, then I think things can get better.
