Due to layoffs last year and this year, the product & engineering department is understaffed and overworked. Releases are rarely ever smooth, deadlines are unrealistic, teams are even more siloed, documentation is either lacking or outdated, processes change frequently, and certain tools used are outdated and badly need to be reworked. If anyone from management is actually reading this and is wondering why the internal surveys paint a different picture, it's probably because most people are just suffering in silence for fear of reprisal.
