Pros

Diverse company. Internal mechanisms typically are functional. Sales look at #'s and make decisions based on best direction to head. Sometimes too political though. a lot of locations to choose from around tthe west. Need to seek them out.

Cons

Not always a people friendly company...very large and fragmented. Need more cohesiveness. Need to continue to grow and focus on critical intitiatives. Not just hoping sales will come...need to drive it and own it. Work closer with other departments and divisions. Keep up with current business operating mechanisms. Seek input from variety of resources fro best course of actions.

Pros

Siemens has a good benefit program. Siemens will work with their employee when it it necessary for time away from the office.

Cons

Favoritism shown to fellow employees. There are alot of people in positions that do not have the qualities it takes to handle their duties.

Pros

Siemens provides high performing employees with opportunities to not only move up in the defined career paths but between them as well. For US employees in Siemens Medical, there is a strong sense that all employees will be heard by Sr. Management and we have the ability to make OUR company stronger internally and in the marketplace. While work-life balance still seems to be lip service in the general manager population, there are many specific managers who take this topic to be important for employee morale and success of the company.

Cons

While questioning and challenging the status quo is acceptable within US groups, this is not the norm for our German counterparts. US employees can easily get a bad reputation for following US social norms when dealing with our German Collegues, For many US employees, it is expected to work more than 10-12 hours a day. Siemens Medical in Malvern is known in the Philadelphia area as a "low payer."
