Pros

Santa Monica location is a plus. Big step up from the seedy streets of Venice, where employees were constantly harassed.

Cons

Immature culture, incompetent management. Lack of respect all around.

Pros

-Small teams so lots of responsibility -Lots of smart and kind people -Competitive compensation (though stock vesting is backloaded to encourage 4 years)

Cons

-Culture is toxic and stressful. Think more Amazon than Facebook. -Employees are encouraged to work long hours to make up for lackluster code design, rather than improving the code. -More focused on ops and maintenance than long-term improvements to the product -Very top-down management, with most priorities coming from higher-up management than those closer to the product

Pros

-great coworkers -benefits are covered 100% -free food The vibe and perks at this company was at its peak pre-IPO. It's been on a steady decline ever since and you could feel the pressure with having to live up to wall street expectations which is stressful. The pay is okay but not great. The only real bright spot here are the people you get to work with who are amazing (although there were a few backstabbers willing to drive the bus over you just to get ahead, but you'll find those at almost any company).

Cons

-management team -expect to work longggggg hours This place is basically a startup that is disguised as a public company with recent college grads who have no idea how to run a business esp the CEO. If you enjoy a company with structure and thought out processes, this is not the place for you. To future applicants: just be cautious with your offer and don't be tempted by the attractive sign on bonus that vests over a significant period of time.
