Pros

Mostly smart, kind and truly creative people. Mission you can believe in. Opportunities to do fascinating work.

Cons

Poor understanding of how to operate outside the US. Other offices treated as culturally subordinate to US. Too much poor management in LA, despite management training.

Pros

- Flexible movement between teams - High ratio of users to developers, means you're not just a cog in the wheel - Good equity - Good culture, people keep it professional even when they're angry

Cons

- Product pushes can require working a bunch of weekends. Sometimes the work-life balance suffers a bit. Although, I'm told it's gotten better since I left. - Lots of anxiety around the fickle share price and the future of Snapchat with respect to Instagram. But, I'm also told this is much better these days
