Pros

I have moved several times within the company over the last 8-9 years, with the support and guidance of management and now find myself where I probably wanted to be, Product Development, even before I knew it was where I wanted to work. Others here have also had opportunities to grow as the company has expanded. I like this a lot, as it means that with application and passion, people are given the right encouragement to learn, improve and move upwards. I am now in a position where I hire new staff and I always take care to have a roadmap for those individuals, so that they have a long term career at Sportradar, not just a job. The same thing I benefited from... The rapid growth of a company comes with challenges, but despite them I think Sportradar has adapted very well. We were always a multinational organisation and I like that I have colleagues all over the world, with the occasional opportunity to go visit and work alongside them. Everyone speaks English, which is handy from my perspective. The expansion into new technologies, domains and regions is fantastic and immensely stimulating from my perspective. Things are moving fast, in multiple directions, and this means that opportunities are too.

Cons

As mentioned above, the company has grown very quickly, and overall it has adapted well. However, there are lot more procedures and hoops to jump through now, than before. This is to be expected, as structure is very important, but as someone who has been with the company for a while, there were advantages to being more free and finding your own way. I spend more time doing things that are not directly focusing on my actual direct role.
