Pros

Innovative Environment – Working at Sportradar provided exposure to cutting-edge sports technology, AI, and data-driven decision-making. The engineering teams are talented and motivated. - Strong Agile Mindset at the Team Level – Many teams embrace Agile and Scrum, fostering a collaborative and iterative approach to product development. - Diverse and International Culture – Global collaboration with professionals from different countries adds value and broadens perspectives. - Flexible Work Arrangements – Hybrid work options and autonomy in structuring workdays contribute to a good work-life balance. - Good Benefits & Perks – Competitive salary, meal allowances, modern office space, and learning opportunities through internal and external training.

Cons

- Lack of Clear Strategic Alignment – Frequent shifts in priorities and unclear top-down communication create uncertainty for teams. - Middle Management Bottlenecks – Some middle managers resist Agile transformation, causing friction between leadership vision and execution at the team level. - Agile Adoption Still a Work in Progress – While Agile principles are embraced by some, leadership struggles with empowering teams fully, often reverting to traditional command-and-control behaviors. - Layoffs Without Transparency – The recent restructuring felt abrupt, with limited communication on the rationale behind workforce reductions.

Pros

The company used to be completely different. During a couple of years I spent in SR, I noticed a shift—but not in a good direction.

Cons

The overall atmosphere has become negative. The company despises transparency, allowing rumors and fear to thrive within its culture. 1. Lack of transparency (as mentioned). 2. The salary review process is absurd—I received a 2.5% annual raise despite high inflation. Just wow. 3. Performance reviews are manipulated—The company actively tries to downgrade your performance rating to reduce your bonus. Even if you meet all the goals agreed upon with your Line Manager, you can still be rated as "partially meeting expectations." because of... reasons 4. Extreme back-to-office push—You must be in the office three days a week, no exceptions. If you take two days off, guess what? You still need to be in the office for three days that week. And why? Because one day, the CEO visited an office unannounced, found it nearly empty, and got mad. That should tell you all you need to know about the level of management maturity. 5. No clear strategy. 6. Last year, they laid off 10% of employees. Now, they are laying off even more, but this time with zero communication. Do they think people won’t notice their colleagues suddenly disappearing? But fear not—layoff timing is predictable—If you’re considering working here, pay close attention to every earnings report date. You should be prepared for the possibility of being laid off a week or two before the announcement—just in time to make the numbers look better :)))
