Marketing team chaos

Pros

- Flexible home office arrangements - Other departments of the business seem to have a productive and professional vibe, so I suppose it depends on your role

Cons

- Salaries below average - Outdated equipment and software (I was shocked when I first started and compared it to technology provided in previous jobs) - It is my impression that a hostile working environment has been engineered in the Marketing team: E.g. Senior leaders screaming at colleagues in front of clients at events, meetings turning into a non-constructive blame game. It hasn't always been like this and I think that's why people are leaving. - There's no training budget, even if you work there several years - Unhelpful middle managers (e.g. Marcomms & creative) refusing to deal with or at least answer to requests by other departments, creating bottlenecks - You’re expected to work all hours and weekends for no compensation and no thanks - Ridiculous levels of micromanagement and confusing never-ending approval structures have been implemented in lieu of any real direction
