Pros
Talented colleagues, interesting clients, solid benefits, fast-paced
Cons
The lack of transparency around pay is deeply troubling, particularly for a company that purports to care about equal opportunity and anti discrimination. There are no established salary ranges for positions/titles, and HR will not provide any information re: existing salary ranges to incumbents. There is no reason to be secretive around general pay ranges beyond wanting to underpay employees. HR seems hostile to employees, which is unfortunate because many of the smaller agencies Syneos has absorbed still value camaraderie, transparency, and pay equity. HR's anti-employee stance belies a wider indifference toward employees that is also evidenced in chronic understaffing, byzantine supervisory structures, a focus on "utilization" over quality of work, and annual merit increases that max out well below the rate of inflation (equating to annual pay cuts even for loyal and top-performing staff). Turnover is high, which makes team-building and consistency challenging and affects morale overall.
