They have got it wrong on multiple fronts in the UK office. The sales teams are run by a bunch of unprofessional kids who could not have got to where they are had they been working anywhere else. The politics is sickening – it’s all about blaming each other and brown nosing. The office environment is like a noisy call center. There is no work life balance – vacation is considered a favour that employees “don’t deserve”. And what are lunch breaks? The American managers are clueless, arrogant and detached. And now with the Synopsys acquisition, in the foreseeable future, a lot of people will leave.

Weak Managers - delegation is important in Management, but it should not be the only thing. Empathy is superficial at best. Quantity of work - something is fundamentally broken in the way work comes to the documentation team. Too many firefights, you will not be able to breathe easy even in your time off, that is if you are able to take time off. Testing work loads are very silently being added to the Documentation role, so be very careful about this. You will not get credit or pay for this - very smart of the management. Some Engineering teams do not treat Documentation Specialists with even basic respect. You will be expected to attend long meetings which are not very useful AND get your work done on time.
