Pros

You might get to work with One of the best minds in industry if your lucky & working on overseas projects.. you might get even luckier if you get to work with Stupid managers (So called Technical Managers who are just there to make sure all employees of his team go late everyday,to make sure he calls you on every holiday you take & buzz you around, So that he/she can claim extra points to higher management that his team works hard & bla bla & all credit goes to him/her because he//she make sure you all are screwed properly.., she/he will make sure you are under lot of pressure specially in your first year Or at least by probation period to make sure you work like a dog to get your salary. The CTC which they Offer you Will look extremely good to you When you see the letter BUT BUT it will actually be inflated with lot of craps..., eg: they will add Earned leaves encashement in your CTC.., the PF amount which they claim will be Cut from your salary(Both employee & employer contribution),some snacks amount, car policy etc etc..... You might get attracted with the way HR explains you about benefits & goodies company offer to its employee.., please dont fall in that trap.., goodies & benefits comes with great deal of compromise which they wont reveal while offering you.. Hiring Manager & HR will convince you that kind of work they do here in this location is cutting edge.., you will be trampled a lot with some quality round of interviews & The chat interviews which are just useless but please don't fall in trap again... Development work which they do (as they say) will be just a utter waste of your knowledge & qualification.. India(Noida) site doesn't have any development work which you'r expecting here.. There are some Employees who are in company for 9-12 years (Most of them got in synopsys after acquisition of Nsys & Coware companies which are acquired by synopsys recently) ,, These so called bug fishes wont let you grow.. & will make sure you feel stupid in front of them & will terrorize you that they will fire they will cut your perks, they will make you feel so bad literally that you will either walk out or loose enthu.. , & then they will again start a new hiring process to hire new folks & same story repeats.., Believe me I have seen 4 resignations in one year under same Tech manager (Which holds a team size of 12) they will say if you dont work like this or that. These So called Big Guns who came in synopsys after acquisitions will actually have there own agenda , It is regrettable that Synopsys bases it's hiring decision on employees that apparently have their own agenda and for some reason don't want their team to expand.

Cons

HR teams are not honest.. they will claim lot of things when you are in hiring process but eventually its a waste of time.. Technical Managers have there own agenda & issues who came in from acquisitions from different small companies..(If you are interviewed or going in such a office where Synopsys has been labelled after acquisition from smaller firms ..BEWARE, do a double check).

WARNING: My Biggest Career Regret, Never Join. Avoid at All Costs

Pros

Great colleagues and benefits are OK.

Cons

Don't let the brand name fool you. Joining Synopsys was easily one of the most disappointing decisions of my career. If you are holding an offer right now, you need to seriously reconsider. From the outside, it looks like an industry leader, but the internal reality is a completely different story. The management layer is massively bloated, which makes decision-making painfully slow. To make matters worse, leaders constantly contradict each other. You will frequently get conflicting directives depending on which manager you talk to, and priorities change constantly with zero explanation. There is no real structure. Instead, teams are stuck in a never-ending cycle of firefighting, and the only reason anything actually gets shipped is because a few overworked individuals are carrying the entire load. But the worst part is the culture. It is highly political and deeply toxic. When project milestones inevitably derail because of the bloated, contradictory leadership, the blame game starts immediately. It honestly feels like a corporate version of Squid Game. People care way more about self-preservation and finger-pointing than actually solving engineering problems, and survival usually means throwing another team or coworker under the bus. Your experience here will be dictated by luck, chaos, and cutthroat politics. Expect the day-to-day reality to be vastly more disorganized and hostile than whatever you were told. My advice to you: NEVER JOIN!!!

Pros

- work from home - ok salary, but not great - free coffee - nothing else is free, think vending machines for snacks like at the hospital

Cons

Worst Management I've seen in the industry 1. no strategy or vision for next generation products; only short term revenue matters 2. no career growth or development; forget about getting a promotion, haven't had a raise since I started 3. Nepotism: they like to hire relatives 3. insanely siloed business environment; adjacent groups do not talk to one another nor do they cooperate - One Synopsys is a joke! 4. if you think you'll have an opportunity to get trained up on the latest CAD tools, think again. There are very limited training opportunities for employees and what does exist is pretty superficial and hence useless.
