The salaries are not bad, and the company has good values.

Cons

The values are not enforced locally. Local managers are often vindictive and if you denounce them to HR, they will take wrongful action against you, using all the means necessary. Also, carrier opportunities are slim to none. Furthermore, there is no work/life balance as you are expected to work long hours. The great values this company has are not enforced locally.

Good technology, not good for non-technologists

Synopsys is the leader in EDA and has good technology. Some great people work there and people tend to stay.

Cons

High expectations with harsh punishment for failure mean few are willing to take risks or try new approaches. Much of the management are dinosaurs or are ex-engineers that are not suited to non-technical jobs. Arrogance is a systemic problem.
