Pros

This company is great if you are looking for a great work/life balance. The company does not work people to death. You have plenty of time to relax. You can start out with a lot of vacation even in the first year. The company recognizes great performance and puts a lot of effort into celebrating those successes. Working with people at T-Mobile is a very positive experience as well. The company is successful in generating a good team work environment. People are usually very open to help you.

Cons

For a finance guy it can be very frustrating seeing every day how much money is wasted. There are a lot of good things happening at T-Mobile. But if you want to be a successful technology company you need to write software in-house. People have a lot of good ideas about how to improve business and it always stops (or drastically slows down) because the IT department is a protected monopoly. Your are also less empowered at this company than with others. Getting more free time comes at a price - gaining less experience and getting less exposed to new challenges.

Pros

initial promise. Not any more.

Cons

This is a cheap company. It doesn't want to spend money to hire qualified engineers. It caused poor design from beginning and lots re-work during the project. It result poor network and service.

Pros

Employees are treated well and respected. Employees are encouraged to develop their careers and get training. Every manager I've spoken with says they're happy that their employees find other opportunities even though they have to replace them. Job shadowing is encouraged and done frequently. Communication is generally quite good at a department and company-wide level. My pay is good -not sure about others. Bonuses are quarterly and the review process is quick and not too challenging. There are many fun events with departments and groups that give you a chance to meet new people and get out of the office.

Cons

So far has not been easy to move to a new job. Not harder then other companies but not much easier to get hired from within then from outside the company. Some people move up fast while others seem to stay stuck permanently at their level and have to leave company to move on. Haven't figured out the politics but they seem to have quite an influence on who gets hired - not unusual. They be be too soft on employees because as with all companies - there are some bad managers. They don't seem to be promoted but on the other hand they also don't get fired so one has to put up with them.
