Pros

mostly Work from Home, Google on your resume (kinda),

Cons

What I will firstly say is this place greatly lacks diversity. I feel extremely uncomfortable in the office when 80% of the workers are not speaking in English instead they are speaking in their native tougne. Management regularly gives instructions to their team in Hindi or Punjabi which leaves me a Canadian born completely confused until it is then translated for me. Im not sure if there is a program in place where workers are sent here from India, but the company really should aim to be diverse and strive to have a salad bowl of cultures within the office to improve worker experience. Team Leads apart from 2 are all on egotistical power trips that aim to micromanage and stress BDR's out. They also threaten employees with not getting bonuses based on new criteria they did not have when the quarter started. The job itself is pretty straightforward. send emails and make calls to get businesses to sign up for the google for startups program, however the Google AE's treat you like you work for them, and despite your work to get a customer interested, if the AE decides for whatever reason it is not worth their time then so be it. and a BDR is held accountable if the AE completely lets a lead go stale all while the lead is emailing you what happened. Google AE's will even cancel a meeting that you set up 2 mins before the scheduled time without telling the client at all. All your hard work and rapport gone out the window. The commute is also terrible with Younge/Eglington where the cheapest parking is $20 per day. You'll quickly learn the office is just a waste of time because its too loud to have a professional meeting or virtual meeting when people are walking around behind you. All things considered I had a Good TL and some good collegues on my team, but this place just feels like chaos pretending to be organized.
