In Turkey, if you take Monday-Friday off, 6 days are deducted from your 14 days, instead of 5. A non-sensical legalese explanation is given for it, along the lines of "Legally, you're actually taking 6 days off, not 5, if you take Monday-Friday." Also, you have to work during national and religious holidays, too, because you're serving Europe and the U.S. You get paid a little extra — very little extra — for working on holidays but you don't have a choice in this. (You can't go and say, "I don't need the extra pay, I want to rest on holidays.")
