Pros
I have worked in several call centers, and Teleperformance Reno is easily the most professional environment I've experienced. It's a warm and friendly place to work, but not so casual that ethical standards are forgotten.
Ample training is provided for new employees, and the support system throughout the transition into production, and beyond, is tremendous.
For those on the front lines, there are opportunities to make extra money in the form of overtime and performance bonuses. Teleperformance Reno also frequently has incentive programs that reward employees with prizes or additional monetary compensation.
For those interested in advancing their careers, Teleperformance Reno believes very strongly in promoting from within. Teleperformance Reno offers an outstanding leadership development program that provides the foundation for even the least experienced employees to become effective managers as they advance through the ranks.
The facilities at Teleperformance Reno are top-notch, including extensive vending options in the employee break room and adequate refrigerator space for those who pack a lunch. Lockers are provided to protect one's belongings and the security staff is excellent. There is even an employee lounge for those who prefer a quieter break experience. All facilities are kept clean and functioning.
Teleperformance Reno knows how to have a good time, too! The fun committee frequently hosts events in the break room, either just for the fun of it, or to raise money for various charitable organizations.
If you're looking for a friendly, professional and stable work environment with supportive management staff and opportunities to develop skills you can use throughout your career, look no further than Teleperformance Reno. And if you're interested in broadening your horizons, Teleperformance has sites all over the world. No matter where your career is headed, Teleperformance Reno is a step in the right direction.
Cons
There are times when upper management implements decisions that will dramatically impact front line employees and lower-level management without input from those employees and managers. No focus group or workshop. Sometimes there isn't even much in the way of advanced notice. Those who are adverse to change can become overwhelmed in these situations.
On the few occasions when there have been focus groups regarding the overall state of Teleperformance Reno, senior management seems more inclined to deflect than to truly listen.
Considering all the great incentives Teleperformance Reno provides, I found it discouraging that I did not begin to accrue paid time off until I had been employed for one year. That being said, management is flexible when employees need time off for appointments and other obligations, albeit unpaid.
Base wages are lower at Teleperformance Reno than at other call centers in the area. Overtime and other incentives compensate for this to a degree, but are not as concrete and reliable as an increase to one's base wage.
