Pros

Work life balance, benefits, casual dress, open bar and appetizer mingles during work hours.

Cons

I had the luxury of working for the world's worst manager I have ever encountered in my 44 years on Earth. I also found out 2 former employees quit under her in 2 years because they couldn't stand her micromanagement and erratic behavior. Takeda DOES NOT have 360 degree feedback (you CAN'T give an evaluation on those above you) perhaps if they did, this woman would have been long gone before I started. I also found out this company undergoes a re-org. every year to year and a half and lots of folks this time around were either let go or transferred to a company Takeda does business with. If you want to transfer out of the company, you have to let your manager know that you're posting out. You are then black balled once you do, this rule is asinine! Doesn't make you feel good knowing you may not make the cut every re-org.

Political, Toxic, Lack of Transparency

Pros

Benefits, Affinity groups, opportunities for trainings, hybrid work policy.

Cons

Lazy fake ambitious managers that could care less about the employees they manage and do not set them up for success. Lack of inclusivity, gaslighting, and favoritism by senior managers. Fake nice Heads, Senior Directors and Leads who will easily covertly sabotage. Political employees will easily and quickly get promoted for work already in their job description. Some so called hybrid workers work in a remote fashion and do not even live in MA while local hybrid employees are expected to return to office most days a week. Multiple waves of lay-offs. Competent and high-performers laid-off and caught off guard while toxic managers and employees remain. Reductions based off of recommendation from hired outside consulting firm only to find out that the company is in need of resourcing. The so-called expensive employees are let-go only to be filled in by so-called cheaper less experienced employees or expensive contractors to fill the work of full time employees that were let-go. No accountability for executive leaders for the company’s poor performance and weak pipeline compared to the overall industry.
