Pros
1. Job security 2. Onsite opportunities in few projects 3. Work life balance 4. Domiciliary medical benefit of Rs. 6000 can be claimed yearly by showing your medical bills
Cons
1. Basic salary is very low. So, HRA, Leave encashment everything will be low 2. You will be surrounded by mostly average and below average people. Nothing much to learn. If you get onsite, stay here, else leave within 1-2 years. Not worth wasting your time. 3. Hike is very low(maximum 7%). Don't be fooled by the news which mentions TCS as employee friendly company. Remember that they want to be in the news to attract bigger clients. 4. HR and higher management is lazy and they will force the employees to do useless trainings so that they can show it to clients and attract a hefty billing $/hr. 5. No cultural events. Just like a government company. 6. No brand value in India. Every other company who interviews you knows it's easy to get a job in TCS. 7. TCS will force you to install their apps for Timesheet and make you fill daily. If you don't fill it by next day, you will lose pay for that day. And their portal is very bad. It will ask you to change the password even more times than a bank would ask you to. 8. Taking photos are not allowed even outside the buildings. Very annoying . Photos are only allowed if clients come. Choose in the following order: Infosys/ IBM > TCS > Accenture > CTS > Wipro
