Pros

Job security and part of Tata Group

Cons

1. TCS is now forcefully mandating employees to work from the office for 5 days (9 hours per day) otherwise get a QVA cut 2. No additional benefits are provided, such as Diwali gifts/bonuses or rewards for outstanding project contributions like other Tata Group companies 3. Employees in grade C3 or higher may lose their quarterly variable pay. 4. All employees may see a reduction in their quarterly variable/performance pay if they don't comply with policies, especially WFO policy. 5. TCS promised full WFH policy, then 25-25 model - now they forget every promise. They are utilising the current bad market to enforce employees to follow these bad policies 6. Growing toxicity in their culture 7. No timely promotion based on performance. Except you are manager's fav person. 8. No practical learning opportunity given (other than in pen & paper, or given any relaxation in work timing to acquire your aspirational skill) 9. Do not help the eligible associates who wants to take a transfer from their base location to another 10. False advertisement in media by management

Pros

1. Onsite Opportunities Based on Networking: "Access to onsite opportunities relies heavily on strong networking connections." : This point emphasizes the importance of building and maintaining professional relationships within the company. It suggests that having good connections or networking within the organization increases the likelihood of being selected for onsite opportunities, regardless of one's qualifications or tenure. 2. Good Medical Policy: "The company offers a comprehensive medical policy." This point highlights the quality of the medical benefits provided by the company. It indicates that Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) provides a favorable medical policy, which likely includes coverage for various healthcare expenses such as hospitalization, consultations, and medications. 3. Job Security at Certain Levels: "Job security remains relatively stable at certain organizational levels." This point suggests that there is still a level of job security within the company, particularly for employees at specific hierarchical levels or positions. It implies that while job security might fluctuate across different levels within the organization, there are roles or positions where employees feel more assured of their employment stability. 3. Balancing Work and Enjoyment with Adaptation: "You have the flexibility to choose between focusing on work or enjoying yourself, but adapting to an indifferent attitude may be necessary." This point indicates that employees have the freedom to prioritize either work or personal enjoyment. However, it also implies that to achieve this balance, employees may need to adopt an attitude of indifference or adapt to situations where they need to disconnect from work-related concerns. This could mean embracing a more relaxed or carefree mindset when not actively engaged in work tasks.

Cons

1. "Your skill set may deteriorate, rendering you less competitive." This point suggests that staying in the company may lead to a decline in one's skills over time, making it difficult to remain relevant in the job market. It implies that the company environment might not provide sufficient opportunities for skill development or advancement, ultimately putting employees at a disadvantage professionally. 2. Difficulty in Leaving Due to Obsolescence: "It may become challenging to leave the company due to skill obsolescence, even if you enhance your skills independently." This point highlights the risk of becoming outdated in terms of skills, making it hard for employees to find opportunities outside the company. It suggests that even if individuals proactively try to improve their skills, they may still struggle to secure roles at a competitive level outside the organization. 3. Opaque Appraisal Process: "The appraisal process lacks transparency." This point indicates that the process for evaluating employee performance and determining promotions or salary increments is unclear or not easily understood. It suggests a lack of transparency in how decisions regarding appraisals are made, potentially leading to dissatisfaction among employees. 4. Low Salary and Its Impact: "The company offers relatively low salaries, causing frustration in both personal and professional life." This point highlights the dissatisfaction that may arise from the company's compensation structure, indicating that the salaries provided are insufficient for meeting personal and professional needs. It suggests that employees may experience financial stress and dissatisfaction as a result of their compensation package. 5. Inaction at Senior Levels: "At certain levels, senior management may be inactive as they approach retirement." This point suggests that senior-level employees may exhibit a lack of initiative or involvement in decision-making processes as they near retirement. It implies that the organizational hierarchy might be affected by a sense of complacency or disengagement among senior leaders, potentially impacting the overall effectiveness of management. Mismatched Work Assignments: "Work assignments may not align with individual skill sets." Explanation: This point indicates that employees may be assigned tasks or projects that do not fully utilize their skill sets or expertise. It suggests a mismatch between the capabilities of employees and the nature of the work assigned to them, potentially leading to inefficiencies and dissatisfaction with job roles.

Pros

I did not experience anything positive through working with this company, I was left hanging time and time again.

Cons

I received a job offer, started working there, filled out three weeks of timesheets was then ghosted and never paid. I have not been able to get in touch with them and never heard back from them. Apparently this is a common occurrence
