Pros

None. Well the people are nice and there is free food and sodas. You can tell they had a pretty good corporate culture at one point but then something happened and now they push people beyond their breaking point.

Cons

Management has no idea what they are doing. Their idea of training is to train you one their products---the ones you don't work with or on, and when you speak up you're a disruption to the group. The place is a people mill---they don't care about their employees, just making money and they have no idea how to do that.

Pros

Very open company culture. Easy to access people with R&D level of skills. Good level of autonomy.

Cons

Not in every country the company culture is fully embraced: when applying to a specific job it is better to check the specific reviews.

Pros

I worked in Teradata R&D, Hyderabad, India for 6+ years. 1. Great learning opportunity. If you are proactive, you can learn a lot of great stuff about DBMS. You will get to work with some very talented and descent people. 2. If you are in testing, life will be good here. Salary is much better compared to work load. (The budget allocation for test team is same as for the development team.) 3. You can have a comfortable life with good promotions, if you know how to fake your achievements and do politics. Some managers encourage this quality in employees.

Cons

1. Severe lack of trust between employees and the first level management. Managers hardly have any management skills. They never come forward to defend you. 2. If you are passionate and work dedicatedly, you will get more work to do. Personal life may get badly affected. However, the pay and benefits will remain same. 3. You need to go head on with your manager, if you need vacation. You will not be given your salary revision letter ever (they fear you may use it to switch to another company). After you submit resignation, you will be treated very badly. Be careful. 4. The new General Manager has taken many steps to improve the work environment, but still a lot more needs to be changed. 5. Almost no benefits apart from salary for employees with less than 9 years of experience.
