No direction as a company. Poor managers. Its a bit of a boys club. They tend to have people who are there for life and then people who are gone after two years. I never learn any new skills there and actually found my presales suffered as a result. They are not an innovative company and the average age has to be over 40. They are stuck in their own little world of data warehousing but they will be rocked by cloud eventually. The product is also way too expensive.

Very much the classic "gold old boy" management team- not in the sense of male-dominated (it's not) but rather upper management is very much a closed ranks organization. I have been associated with or employed by Teradata for17+ years, and this is a great company in a solid/stable market - but has lost its way and become very - very - far behind the BI (now Big Data) industry in terms of innovation. The company is struggling at present, with much turnover - the best technologists and thought leaders have already left - and senior leadership is thrashing about trying to figure things out.
