Pros

Lots of opportunities to learn new technologies. High Pace environment.

Cons

Common complaint is the pay vs other software companies. However, the work life balance at Teradata is great and the opportunities to learn and grow are vast!

Pros

No accountability, work at your own pace, missing deadline, no problem, either change the schedule or lower the requirements, fix it later

Cons

Too many new hired ignorant and in-competence middle managers, they all have no clue what Teradata technology is. Instead of develop what teradata was good at, they just blindly followed what others were doing, and trying to catch up, too late! Teradata was an innovation company in the past, but that was history now.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. Sorry, you feel that way after 10 years. It's true that Teradata is going through a transformation and that means a lot of change. Not everyone likes the change however the direction and leadership are sound and will take Teradata forward in leader position again.

Pros

Some teams have it easy: long schedules and few changes in requirements. I can't believe people are still using waterfall in 2015.

Cons

Lots of 30+ year employees with little incentive to change make the company culture impossible to change. Some teams are so overworked that good people are leaving, and the remaining overworked employees are being asked to pick up the slack.
