Pros

Company is stable so they can outlast recessions

Cons

Return to office is exiling those who were hired fully remote. Upward and lateral mobility is now capped if remote

Pros

My immediate team is filled with good people. It’s a large company.

Cons

Lower than industry salary/bonuses/RSUs with the promise of good culture and job security. Those two no longer exist. RTO poorly handled and initiated a few months after promising employees that we would not be returning. Rigid days/hours in the office. Less flexibility than there was pre COVID, effectively treating employees like children. 2 years in seat minimum. Another new initiative that prevents employees from taking laterals or promotions to have a somewhat competitive salary. Only way to make more money now is to leave. This company has recently made it clear that it doesn’t not value its employees and would rather they leave so they can bring in newer cheaper talent.
