Pros

Most people are friendly and approachable. Training budget. Programming practices (when they actually do it)

Cons

Salary is below average unless you're high up on the ladder . Technical learning limited (good for consulting skills). Staffing people on projects that they don't want to be on - not listening to preferences. Cliquey. Mix bag of talent.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We’re proud of the culture we’ve cultivated here thanks to the ThoughtWorkers we have with us. We’re also glad you called out the learning and development programs we’ve worked hard to create; they are so important in helping ThoughtWorkers do their best work and grow professionally. When it comes to staffing, there can be an element of unpredictability at times. We do try to accommodate ThoughtWorker's preferences and growth goals so that people get a broad range of experience and opportunity, however we also have to balance these with our clients’ needs. Regarding your feedback on advice to management, we may not always get it right, but we’re committed to constantly building capabilities within our teams. We plan to share more insight into what we’re doing on our careers page in the upcoming year. Thanks again for your feedback.

Pros

- I have been with ThoughtWorks Singapore for a few years and what I enjoy the most is the great culture and working environment that the company brings. At ThoughtWorks, we are working at client side most of the time and that's when we are bonded together the most, worked closely together to overcome challenges at client side, deliver projects with quality. ThoughtWorks is a place where people with different background but same passion for technology gather so it's easy to see why most people can get along well with each other. - Have exposure to different technologies and best practices in software development - Generally transparent about most of the operations in the office - Generous budget for communication, book, training, transportation

Cons

- Limited training/onboarding for lateral hire, causing misalignment/disagreement in some of the practices - Might be disorganized in some areas at time, e.g. staffing. Assignment of consultants to projects sometimes is known only on the 1st day of the project

Pros

Great colleagues: professional, smart, interesting. If you like to travel, this is a place you will definitely do it. That's maybe a double-edged sword. Some engagements can be very professionally rewarding.

Cons

100% travel is the norm for North America. Many assignments are more "staff augmentation" than the higher-value roles that TW ostensibly prefers. I wonder how much TW *actually* avoids staff aug roles.
