Pros

If you're looking for a strong company that is stable and wot be going anywhere soon then ups is for you. Must be able to work third shift for the first few years since day shift is reserved for higher seniority employees. Also, they will pay for your school in part (or full if you go to UofL or JCC and work 3rd shift). How can you beat that? Also, it is a unionized company.

Cons

Night shift, warehouse/outdoor work, must be able to work in any weather, 24/7 365 day operation, lock on vacation from thanksgiving to new years for peak season, training does not prepare you for operation

Pros

Time off is pretty good

Cons

There is no consequence to your actions. The high performance employees are exploited and the sub-standard employees receive no discipline

Pros

Set schedules Free medical/dental No uniforms

Cons

Even with seniority, there was no stability regarding work hours. You could get six or seven hours one night, and only three and a half the next night. Part time management playing favorites, beating some over the head with UPS rules, letting others slide completely.
